Cadet Glenn Colt Hourahan of Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, Pa., was given the superintendent’s award as Outstanding Plebe of the year. He was an honor roll student, a member of the Honor Legion, and received a medal in marksmanship from the National Rifle Association. He is a resident of Washington, Va. and lives at Mountain Shadows Farm.

Adm. J.M. Gardiner of Flint Hill attended the swearing in ceremonies of Secretary of the Navy John W. Warner. Known throughout the area for his interest in racing, Warner was one of the judges at the 1972 Rappahannock Hunt Point-to-Points.

Cadet Douglas K. Baumgardner, a second classman at the Virginia Military Institute, was inducted into membership in Omicron Delta Epsilon economics honor society.

Care Program was

scheduled to open on June 13 in the basement of the Miller Building. The day-care program will be headed up by Camille Harris, Susan Lunn, and Mary Kay DeLuise. The service will be a "drop-off” sort of thing between the hours of 9 and 5. The Rappahannock - Rapidan Planning District Commissioners gave approval for a discharge permit to Sperryville’s proposed sewer system. The new sewer is expected to b ■ completed by the fall of 1978.
