Teachers Honored

Several teachers were also presented awards. Mr. James Dennis, the industrial arts teacher, was recognized for his outstanding assistance with prom decorations. Seniors Bonita Gatewood, Terry Williams and Mary Jordan gave a special award for help received during the school year to three special teachers: Ms. Mildred Stephens, Ms. Mary Anne Biggs and Ms. Sally Bristol. The three received red rose corsages.

Two other fine people were recognized for dedication and assistance provided to students. Miss Jeanne Griffin was given a potted plant by the senior class for her help as class sponsor. All the seniors feel that this was a richly deserved honor.

Thanks To Wingfield The last award of the day was presented by SCA president Carolyn Butler on behalf of the entire student body to Mr. Dennis Wingfield, the man we think has done more than any other person in terms of providing dedication, discipline and cooperation. The plaque, awarded along with a standing ovation from the students assembled in the auditorium, thanks Mr. Wingfield for his 16 years of service as RCHS principal.
