Letters were awarded to members of the varsity baseball and track teams.
To earn a letter in track, a participant must attend a designated number of practices, average two points per meet and demonstrate high levels of sportsmanship. A total of 26 students earned track letters, winged-foot pins or bat pins. First-time letterwomen included Katherine Davis (440 and 880 relay, 100 yard dash and long jump), Melissa "Mo” Turner (shot put). Kelly Bristol (880 run) and Renee Ellis and Rhonda Jenkins (both in mile run).
