tied for high honors out of over 100 FFA and 4-H boys from northern Virginia in the annual FFA-4H club beef cattle judging contest that was held in Winchester. The lads received $9 in cash awards. Both boys are freshmen in vocational agriculture and in the writer's estimation will bear watching during their next three years of FFA work.
One-carat diamonds were advertised by Roy C. Jones for $637.50. Other fantastic prices were on T-bone steaks for 95' a pound with sirloin steak close behind at 93* a pound. Both specials were offered at the Culpeper Food Shop.
The valedictorian of Sperryville High School was Jean Brown of Sperry ville while Joan Kelly Aylor of Sperryville was pronounced salutatorian.
