They are often confused for each other. “It happens all the time and it gets irritating,” Don said.

"We try to be as different as possible,” added Ron.

They don’t play tricks on the unsuspecting non-twin world by posing as each other. In fact, they could remember only one instance when they'd tried that sort of prank. They got caught which might be why they never tried it again. “We switched classes in second grhde but the teacher knew right away 'cause we forgot to change workbooks,” Don admitted ruefully.

The two young men share an academic strength in science and both plan to pursue careers related to that field—Don in veterinary medicine and Ron in chemistry.

They likewise share similar interests in off-school hours. Both like hiking, fishing and other outdoor “stuff” and both are dedicated runners. “He’s a little better in cross country than I am,” Don acknowledged.

“You know, that’s the first time he’s ever admitted it!” joked his twin.
