Col. E.P. Luke was named as
Piedmont District member of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors. He was appointed by Judge Snead to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Betty Coates. Luke was appointed to serve until the 1974 general election when he was elected to serve his first full term.
