For the tenth year, the. National Park Service will hold its “Hoover Days” program in Shenandoah National Park, according to park superintendent Robert R. Jacobsen.

This annual event commemorating former President Hoover’s birthday on August 10 is held at Camp Hoover on the Rapidan River in the Park. Normally reserved for the accommodation of high government officials, the camp’s buildings will be open to the public on August 6 and 7. Free bus transportation will be provided and special guided hikes to the camp will be offered.
