“This is something extra,” Wood maintained. “It wasn’t in the original contract.”
“It’s still no different,” Estes countered. Baughn “has his own contractor he uses all the time and that’s probably who he got the bid from.”
Spencer interjected that Leroy Berry, the paving subcontractor, does excellent work. As a contractor “concerned with the final product,” Baughn is “somewhat limited” on his subcontracting options, the architect added.
