The plan identifies three priority areas, Capelle said. The first is continued funding for FORE, a sheltered workshop for the handicapped in Remington. Second is skills training planned to be offered through onthe-job experience. Third is remedial education. “For better or for worse, a lot of people are coming out of our school systems and having a hard time filling out a job application and following directions,” Capelle said. Plans call for community colleges to be -the focus of continuing educational programs aimed at the jobless and those preparing to enter the workforce. “Industry people are telling us this is critical.” Capelle said.
