League has entered the fight on behalf of the issue, “not for the Camerons or any other particular individuals,” Bird continued. If the Camerons settle with PotEd, all the money contributed to the Rappahannock Homeowners Association (now the power line committee of the Izaac Walton League) will be used to support any new legal challenges brought against the upgraded power line or be returned to the donars, she said. Currently, donations total $2,000, she said.

The group voted unanimously to request that the Rappahannock supervisors ask Del. Guest to introduce legislation in the General Assembly to lower the kilovolt limit to 100 on lines which must be approved by the SCC.

By acclamation, the committee confirmed its officers: chairman Diana Bird, treasurer Don Chandler and secretary Ann Fox.
