Gives Thanks
Rappahannock County will mark the Thanksgiving holiday, Thursday, November 24, with a community service observed by the congregations of nine county churches. This joint celebration is an annual event.
Washington Baptist will be the host church for the 10 a.m. service with congregations from Trinity Episcopal, First Baptist Church, Reynolds Memorial and F. T. Valley Baptist Church, Promise Land Baptist, Macedonia Baptist, St. Peter’s Catholic Mission and the Rappahannock Charge of the United Methodist Church participating.
The combined choirs will provide music. Rev. Doug Farmer, pastor of the Reynolds Memorial and F. T. Valley Baptist Church, will deliver the Thanksgiving sermon.
Nursery services will be provided. The entire Rappahannock community is invited to attend and join in giving thanks.
