When he announced the resignation of bookkeeper Faye Suddueth, Rappahannock school superintendent Robert Estabrook said “work habits” had caused him to call for Suddueth’s resignation under threat of dismissal.
The school board accepted the resignation at the conclusion of a special meeting called on October 26 as a policy manual work session.
The board then voted to appoint former special services secretary Bonnie Hahn to the position. She had kept the books there since July when she came to work for the school system, Estabrook says, “and has a background over the years.” A 1967 RCHS graduate, Hahn majored in bookkeeping at Astrayer Junior College in Washington, D.C.
Estabrook says Suddueth had been bookkeeper for the school system for 2'/a years and has a background in bookkeeping spanning more than 20 years before that.
