Programs for gifted and talented, special education and a nigh school work/study plan were mentioned as three prime areas of concern among the committee members. “Children’s talents ought to be encouraged,” said Schoppett. “Outstanding gifts should be pinpointed and brought out— whatever they might be.”
The school board appreciated the “time on task” the committee spent. Said Reeve, “A lot of work went into it and we appreciate it and will discuss it next month.”
