Rappahannock’s electoral board spent all day Wednesday and Thursday going over election results with registrars Ruth Kilby and Majorie Atkins and the certified tabulations were picked up Monday by representatives from the State Board of Elections in Richmond.
“Everything checked out,” reported Chris Parrish. secretary of the local electoral board. “Everything checked out absolutely perfect,” added registrar Ruth Kilby.
The three member board (which includes Parrish, Dorothy Davis and Pearl Clark) verified the poll books from each precinct against the computer printout of registered voters. According to registrar Ruth Kilby, the names of those who voted in last Tuesday’s election matched the names of those legally eligible to vote in every case.
