I,ocal fruit growers have until December 6 to pre-register if they want to reserve lunch at the small fruit school to he held in Front Koval on December 15, according to extension agent Birgitt Thornhill.
A $5 registration fee will he charged to all participants. The charge includes the lunch. Checks should be made payable to the North ern Virginia 4-H Educational Center and may be sent to the Rappahannock County Extension Service, I*. O. Box 119, Washington, 22717.
The program which will run from 9 until 3:30 includes presentations by experts on irrigation, new crop potentials, marketing, parasite and weed control and the safe use and storage of pesticides:
Thornhill says there is also expected to be a small trade show featuring twelve exhibitors of equipment for irrigation and packaging as well as chemicals and field machinery.
