On November 8, 1983, no less than 2,432 citizens of Rappahannock County went to the polls and voted. This total represents 76. lVf of the 3,196 citizens who were registered to vote - a remarkably high percentage in comparison with the national average. It also represents the greatest total vote ever in this county. This upward trend is an encouraging sign that the people here are concerned with the quality of their local government.
