An Open Letter To
JACKSON DISTRICT
RESIDENTS
We wish to thank those of you who did not register and refused to vote on November 8th, 1983. The main reason given, “my vote isn’t going to make a difference.” As you have witnessed, your vote would have made a lot of difference.
When someone is willing to devote a lot of time away lrom their family and work, in order to help people who are unhappy with their local government, that person needs your support.
We are sorry to see that another four years will probably pass by us, with the same problems never being resolved. Let’s hope our children of Jackson District can forgive those who wouldn’t register and vote, in order to help improve their schools and education. For these children are the real losers!
In closing we would like to thank everyone who supported “Butch Zindel”, and found it worth their time and energy to be registered and to vote. We appreciate all the phone calls we have received, and the people who have expressed their regrets with the final results of the election. Many have expressed hope for the next election and offered their support in any other way they could help. We appreciate this friendship, and your faith and trust in Butch. W'e are proud to be residents of Jackson District, and to have had the support of so many residents of this fine community. Thank you very much!
