from that district with 303 votes to Sean Kilpatrick’s 191. Incumbent H. B. Wood who was not seeking re-election had three votes. Mary Botts Quaintanee and Kim G. Burke each received one write-in vote.
In the combined precincts of Flint Hill and Chester Gap, incumbent Hubert S. Gilkey had 447 votes. Write-in votes went to Butch Eastham (four), Garfield Burke (three), Werner Krebser, Richard Settle and Sherman Williams (one each).
Running unopposed for the seat in the Virginia House of Delegates district which includes Rappahannock County, Raymond R. “Andy” Guest, the Republican incumbent, had 1,874 votes, according to official returns. Sperrvville attorney James W. Fletcher III received two votes and Dorothy Davis,' Eugene McCarthy and John Summers one apiece.
In the race for the 2(ith district seat in the Virginia Senate, Republican Kevin Miller carried Rappahannock with 1,3(10 to Ernest Schlabach’s 873. Peter Pan had one vote to bring his countywide total in three races to three.
With the official results certified by the local electoral board sent to Richmond on Monday, registrar Ruth Kilby said she expects confirmation on the balloting from the State Board of Electors by Wednesday.
