We of our community extend deepest sympathy to Mr. and Mrs. Bemie Jenkins and son, Randy on the loss of Mr. Jenkins’ father, who passed away last week.
Mrs. Harriet Wood of “Dun-Lookin” spent Wednesday and Thursday of last week with Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Filyo, Jr. and son, Stephen Christopher in Rockville, Md. Recent guests of the Woods here have been Mrs. Ralph Edwards and son, Warren of Silver Spring, Md. and Hugh Andrew of Bethesda, Md.
Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church held a baptismal service at New Salem Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville was a Saturday guest of her father, F. R. Frazier, Sr. Holtzman Frazier of Fredericksburg visited his father on Sunday.
Mrs. Cary Thornhill spent several days last week in Culpeper Memorial Hospital and returned again on Tuesday for tests and observations. Mrs. Harry Morrison of Winchester is here to be near hert mother, Mrs. Thornhill. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thornhill of Vienna were here during the weekend visiting his parents, the Thornhills.
Alfred Jenkins, a former resident suffered a heart attack Saturday night and is a patient in Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. William Gibbs was a Sunday luncheon guest of her mother, Mrs. George Butler, Sr.
C. D. Marshall, son-inlaw of Mrs. Ruth Lillard returned home on Sunday after several days in Maguire Hospital in Richmond.
Mrs. Janet Peregory was a Thursday guest of Mrs. Bessie Corbin.
Mr. and Mrs. Dean Moberely, Dean, Jr. and Brian of Culpeper, Mr. and Mrs. James Murray and Jay of Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Weakley and Melony of Etlan and Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Jenkins and Randy were guests during the Memorial Day weekend of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Shultz at Green Pastures Christian Home.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hopkins of Remington were Sunday visitors of Mrs. Gladys Schlosser at “Fox Hill.” Mrs. Thomas Hensley of “Rocky Top” spent Tuesday with her mother, Mrs. Schlosser.
On Friday Mr. and Mrs. Billy Fincham and Donna were guests of Miss Carol Fincham in Culpeper and on Sunday they visited Mr. and Mrs. Billy Meredith, Jermy and Kellie at Reva Park.
