COUNTY BUILDING OFRCIAL

The Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County Is considering applicants ter the poeition of a building official who shall be responsible tor inspection and enforcement of the BOACA Building Codes tor aH applicable construction in Rappahannock County.

To be eligible tor appointment the BOACA Basic Building Code states that the building official shall have at least five (5) years building experience as a licensed professional engineer or architect, building inspector, contactor or superintendent of building construction, for three (3) years of which experience he shall have been in responsible charge of work, and he shall be generally informed on good engineering practice in respect to the design and construction of buildings, the basic principles of fire prevention, the accepted requirements tor means of egress and the installation of elevators and other service equipment necessary tor the health, safety and general welfare of the occupants. The Board may waive one or more of these requirements where it is determined that the applicant has related experience or aptitude.

This will be a part-time poeition with mileage compensation and compensation for attendance at approved training seminars. The poeition wiH become effective July 1,1964.

Application in writing, stating qualifications, should be submitted to Diane Bruce, Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County, Washington, Virginia on or before 4:00 P.M. Friday, June 1.1964.
