When I advertise that we’ll do a reproduction, it’s an exact reproduction. I don’t think you can improve much on Queen Anne or Chippendale.”
The comer shop smells of vhood shavings and buzzes quietly with a blend of music fiim the radio and table saws. “This has been our busiest winter ever, the first winter when I didn’t stand around without cabinets to build. We’ve had to depend mostly on restorations in past winters,” Lyman said.
He attributes the upkirge move to a spreading reputation than an improving economy. “We’ve had a lot of return customers. Some are on their second Country Cupboard’s kitchen (the shop’s specialty). They’ve moved to another ‘new’ house with an old kitchen in need of remodeling and they’ve come to us again. It’s really rewarding to me to think that people are that happy with our work,” Lyman added.
