Friday was a great day for students, teachers and parents of Rappahannock County Elementary School. The students participated in the annual event called Field Day.
Field Day replaces the old-time May Day, incorporating such events of atheletic prowess as a bean bag toss, three-legged race, potato sack race, 50 yard dash, potato spoon race, egg toss (in which teachers also participated), jump rope and peanut hunts.
According to Teresa McClorhom, physical education teacher, this was the culmination of over two months of organizing, charting, planning and machining such a large-scale structured event.
