The hazardous materials session will be held at the Flint Hill fire station on September 26 at 7:30 p.m. The radiological monitoring session will be conducted October 9 at the Castleton fire station, also scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Vince Hannon of Castleton will instruct both sessions.

• Principal Looking For Boosters
Rappahannock County High School Principal Robert Chappell announces the Boosters Club will conduct two meetings on September 26: one at 10 a.m. and one at 7 p.m. Parents and citizens are invited to attend one of the two; the purpose of the meetings is to organize activities in support of the total school program, Mr. Chappell reports. Meetings will take place in the high school cafeteria.
In other school news, the high school industrial arts department is in need of old, small gasoline engines for classroom use, Mr. Chappell reports. Citizens able to donate an engine can call the school at 967-8675.
• Increase In Fatalities Reported
Thirteen persons, three more than last year, died in motor-vehiclerelated crashes in Virgiania during Labor Day weekend, reports the Virginia State Police. State troopers arrested or issued summonses to 5,946 motorists. Violations included 4,182 speeding, 886 reckless driving and 85 driving while intoxicated. Troopers also assisted 2,890 motorists stranded on state highways.
