Shorb at the Flint Hill fire hall on Saturday, Setpember 1 were Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Merlin Shorb of Silver Spring, Md., the Rev. and Mrs. Wayne Lowton, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Shorb and family, Marian Sullivan, Bessie Gates, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Han back and Will Shorb, all from Lay hill, Md.

Mrs. Kay Browning and her sister from Richmond were in town last Wednesday and had lunch at the Corner Post. They were joined by Lucy Wood, Russie Miller, Mary Latham and Mary G. Edmonds. While here Mrs. Browning and her sister visited Mrs. Frank Spalding.

Mr. and Mrs. Moe Walker attended a birthday picnic at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Fergerson at Winston on Sunday to celebrate the birthday of Mr. Fergerson.

Miss Denise Shorb, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Merlin Shorb is attending Shenandoah College at Winchester.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Welch and children of Mt. Airy, Md. spent the weekend with Mrs. Roland Welch. Saturday visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Everett Cortwright of Marshall.

The Administrative Board of the Flint Hil United Methodist Church met on Monday evening with Mr. and Mrs. M.H. Brady. Members present were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Curtis, Mr. and Mrs. Emory Russell, Mr. and Mrs. Carson Lillard, Mr. and Mrs. Moe Walker, Mr. and Mrs. John Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Duvall, Mrs. Barbara Gentry, Mrs. Russie Miller, Charles Corder, Jr., Charles Foster and the Rev. Merlin Shorb.

Merl Shorb, son of the Rev. and Mrs. Merlin Shorb is attending the Amerdan University in Washington, DC.

Mrs. Robert Nethers with her houseguests, the W.C. Dennis family accompanied by Mrs. Dorothy Lewis, Mrs. Helen Coffey, Charles Corder, Jr., Karen Corder, Debbie Dennis and Mr. and Mrs. Ranny Aylor and Heather were Sunday guests of Mr% and Mrs. Maynard Nethers at Stephens City. The Dennis family left Monday morning for their home in Jackson, South Carolina.
