To the editor:
I read the report in the Rappahannock News August 30, by T. Reynolds in dismay. The quote about the septic tanks did not resemble what was said. What I said was that 1 saw two septic tanks delivered. I observed gravel being hauled most of the day on Saturday. They worked all weekend. I believe they covered up one system and had the other inspected by the health department. It was not inspected by Rappahannock, but by a health department from a neighboring county.
Mr. Konick appears to use his position as a self-serving position. When it fits his needs, he makes an appropriate decision. Mr. Konick stated that you would have to use “common sense” in these issues. That is all we have asked of Mr. Konick as well as the BZA. We are not appealing the issuance of the building permit, as it was issued for a single family dwelling. We are not appealing the current use, as it appears that only one unit is presently being rented. What we are appealing is the decision by Mr. Konick that it is not a multi-family dwelling and that there is no violation of any county ordinance. This decision was made July 5, 1984 We appealed on July 27, 1984 which was certainly within the 30-day time limit.
