To the editor;
I attended the public meetings of the Rappahannock Planning Commission on August 15 and 91, 1984.
I am very much disappointed that the Supervisor of Jackson District, Jr. ® J. R. LaB&nt waf not in attendance. Because of his absence at a critical time in the lives of the people of the Jackson District, now, I know how the American Colonists must have felt when they were taxed by the English people witjh,, - no representation in the Parliament.

The meetings have fcfeen very in-‘ formative. 1 cannot Understand why there are three ordinances in Rappahannock County; (1) 1973 Zoning Ordinance; (2) Comprehensive Plan — whatever that is; and (3) Subdivision Ordinance. Why can’t they all be combined into the same ordinance?
I cannot understand why it is necessary to allot 25 acres for one house if it is located in an Agricultural-Conservation District. If you want to build a house on less than the required 25 acres, you can obtain approval from the Board of Supervisors. If the supervisors disapprove, I suppose you are out of luck.
Mr. Robert Eastham stated that Mr. George Davis drafted the present 1973 Zoning Ordinance and to his knowledge it had never been challenged in the courts. Mr. Konick said it had been challenged in the courts. 1 would like to know the court case cita
