“We want to help the people to stand on their own feet by offering them money management literature and employment information,’’ said Dunphy. She asks that employers with an open position get in touch with the Center so that unemployed persons can be made aware of the opportunity.
There are over 700 People That Love Centers operating across the U.S. They are independently operated by churches or concerned citizens.
“The PTL TV Network in Charlotte supplied us with information and some materials, but we are not obligated to them in any way,” Dunphy said.
Donations can be brought by the Family Worship Center on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. “We do not want junk, but rather nice, useful articles,” Dunphy said. The Center is located in the old school building on Mt. Salem Avenue, Route 626 off Route 211 in Washington.
