Pet* And Car* Don’t Mix! Are you risking your pet* to heat stroke? Dog* and cats can get overheated very quickly. Don’t leave them in closed car* without air conditioning, even for a few minutes.
If an animal is overheated its tongue may turn blue and it may faint. Take action immediately. Run cool water over your pet to reduce body temperature and put an ice pack on its head to prevent brain damage. Then get your animal to the vet as soon as possible.
Summer traveling is hard on pets, especially if riding in cars frightens them. In many cases, it’* probably best to leave them at home.
