“Our hearts are in Rappahannock C ounty, and we want to help the people and help them to help themselves.” That was the way Sally Dunphy of the Family Worship Center described a new program called “People That Love Center.”
The program will be starting at the Family Worship Center on September 21, and is designed to offer food, clothing, furniture, occupational and spiritual help to those people needing emergency assistance.
“It is not a welfare-type service,” Dunphy said. “The People That Love Centers are intended to provide emergency help to those in need.”
Members of the Family Worship Center have begun making donations for the program’s opening. “We are going.to be available here at the center on Friday’s from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. after the 21st for people in need to receive help,” Dunphy said. “We will be open more if there is a need.”
People who need assistance can ask for what is needed, and the People That Love Center will try to supply it.
