Not even our wealthy country can afford everything. Would you, fellow voter, prefer a doctor who “made” you take unpleasant medicine or painful treatment to restore your health? Or one who lacked the toughness to do so? A child will not always.see the need for temporary discomfort, but I think most Americans do. The long-term economic health of our country is too important to us and to our children: On election day in November, vote for President Reagan and his Republican ticketmates.

To the editor.
We would like to express our thanks for all who so generously helped us at the scene of our accident, Saturn day, September 1, and through the following week.
Rescue units of Flint Hill and Washington and perhaps others, friends, neighbors, state troopers and deputies, ami many kind strangers appeared almost instantly. This concern has been expressed all through the ensuing week of stress.
We know it is because of God’s grace and the compassion of others that we are well and whole today.
How can we be grateful enough?
