Renaissance Fair
A merry band of knights, lords and ladies will re-create the revelry, battles and festivities of the Middle Ages at a Renaissance Fair on the campus of Shenandoah College and Conservatory on Saturday, September 14 from 1 until 5.
The Community Arts Program of the college and the Shenandoah chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism are co-sponsoring the event, which will feature pitched battles, tournaments, dancing and fire eating, story tellers, and jesters and jugglers, all in period costume. Non Credit Crafts Courses Scheduled
Basket Making, Dyeing Fibers with Natural Colors and Spinning craft courses will be taught by Debbie Gerick during the upcoming fall quarter at Lord Fairfax Community College.
Basketry will be offered on Friday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. beginning on September 14 and will continue through October 12. Dyeing Fibers with Natural Colors will be offered on Friday evenings from 8 to 10 p.m. beginning on September 14 and will continue through October 12. The fee for each course is $35.
Spinning, a course for beginners, is scheduled for Saturday afternoons from 2 to 4 p.m. beginning on October 20 and continuing through November 17. The fee for this course is $38.

Family Worship Center
The Family Worship Center has services each Sunday and Wednesday. Sunday morning services begin at 10:80 a.m. and evening services at 7 p.m. Wednesday services include a bible study for men and women beginning at 10-.80 a.m. and evening services at 7:80.
The Church is located at the old Washington School on Mt. Salem Avenue, second business exit off Route 211. The pastor is Robert Dunphy and along with the congregation extends an invitation to everyone. For ftgther information call 987-8606.
