Wakefield School in Huntly held its opening day ceremonies on September 10. It was the beginning of the school’s 12th year.
Approximately 360 students listened as Headmaster Bill Lynn described the school’s beginning and growth.
“We began 11 years ago with 35 students and five teachers, and now we’re approaching our 400-student capacity and our teaching staff is about what our beginning number of students was,” Lynn said.
