Runners can start wanning up now for the second annual Turkey Ridge Run sponsored by the Castleton Fire Department.
The 7.1 mile run begins and ends at the fire department in Castleton. This year the run will be held at 1! a.m. on Saturday, December 1st.
Interested runners must pre-register by mail. A $6 entry fee should be made payable to the Castleton Fire Department. For junior high and high school students, the entry fee is $6.
The first 100 entrants will receive baseball style caps with the Turkey Ridge symbol.
There will be a male and female open competition as well as competition for all age groups. The first three runners in the age group categories will receive special awards. The winners of the open categories will receive Christmas turkeys. The first volunteer fireman or rescue squad personnel to finish the run will receive a special
