RLEP Announces Scholarship
iThe ,^appahannock League for Environmental Protection (RLEP) is Phased to announce the establishment of the David E. Semmes Memonal Fund Scholarship.
The first annual $750 scholarship will be awarded to a Rappahannock County High School graduate intending to pursue advanced studies related to environmental education, forestry, agriculture or related areas.
Applications can be picked up from Mrs. Biggs at the high school and are due back m her office on May 1.

On Monday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m., Dr. Joel Foreman of George Mason University will discuss A Childhood: The Biography of a Place bv Harry Crews at the Rappahannock Library.
™s is a vjvid Portrayal of Bacon County, Georgia in the 1930s and 1940s, a place where “being alive was like being awake in a nightmare,” says Crews. 8
A Childhood is the fourth book in the National Endowment for the Humanities book discussion series; “Growing Up in the South.” It is free and open to the public.
