(Part I.) Amend R16-2 (S 1.1) to read as follows:
R16-2. (S 1.1) Open season-Counties east of Blue Ridge Mountains; possession of certain devices unlawful
Except as otherwise specifically provided in the sections appearing in this regulation, it shall be lawful to chase raccoon with dogs, without Capturing or taking, in all counties east of the Blue Ridge Mountains (except on the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests) from August 1 through May 31, both dates inclusive It shall be unlawful to have in immediate possession a firearm, bow, axe, saw, or any tree climbing device while hunting during this chase season. Article 2. Hunting and Trapping.
‘(Part II.) Amend R16-6 (S 2.3) to redd as follows;
R16-6 (S2.3.) Open season for trapping-Counties east of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Except as otherwise specifically provided by local legislation and with the specific exceptions provided in the sections appearing in this regulation, it shall be lawful to take raccoon by trapping in all counties east of the Blue Ridge Mountains from November 15 through the last day of February, both dates inclusive.
