Beauty Contest

The Miss Rappahannock Beauty Contest will be held Friday, April 12 at the Rappahannock elementary school. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., the pageant begins at ’";00 p.m. Admission is $2.50 for adults and $1.25 for students. The contest is sponsored by the Speryville rescue squad.
They Won’t Look
Members of the Herndon Mayor’s Advisory Committee are reluctant to view an allegedly pornographic film confiscated by town police a month ago.
The committee members were asked to view the film “Sex Boat” to establish local criteria for pornography, but the group apparently was unwilling to take the time off from work to see the film and then possibly testify in court, where a trial has been set for the video store owner to rented the film.
