Retired Farmer

George Major, 84, of Sperryville, died Friday, April 5 at Mary Immaculate Hospital, ’ og Islan New York.

Mr. Majoi a retired self-employed farmer.

Survivors, include one daughter, Lucy Sadler of Long Island, New York; three grandsons, one granddaughter, 21 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a sister, Sarah Alexander of Staunton.

Funeral services were conducted at Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville on Wednesday by the Rev. U.S. Brokenburr of Washington, D.C. Burial was in the family section of the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.

W.C. Thompson Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
