As the price of land around the cities gets more and more expensive, we’re going to have to go with something like this.

Rapp. News: So time is not on the side of landfills?

Guest: It might be in a county that’s losing population.

Rapp. News: Orchardists in Rappahannock recently have complained of deer damage. They have asked the board of supervisors to seek a liberalization of game laws in an attempt to reduce the deer population. The supervisors, however, have been informed of the unliklihood of the State Game Commission granting any exceptions in the law for Rappahannock. Is there any type of emergency action that can be taken to help the orchardists? Specifically, can the bag limit be increased during the regular hunting season even though the State Game Commission has affirmed its laws? Guest: I don’t know because I haven’t tried. If the supervisors want me to try, I’ll certainly do what I can with .e commission to see what they’re w illing to do. Rapp. News: What is the most powerful lobbying group in the General Assembly?

Guest: The Virginia Education Association has more lobbyists than any other group, more than the manufacturers, more than the phone companies, more than the power companies, more than any of them.
