A unique World War II Veterans organization will hold a reunion in the Washington area for the first time in over 30 years. This is the ChinaBurma-India Veterans Association representing approximately a quarter of a million veterans of World War II who served in that theater of war. John Guthrie of Castleton is the co-chairman for the event.
Theirs was a low priority theater, farthest away from the home base. They had to live mostly off reverse lend lease from the host governments because of limitation of shipping.
