The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department’s annual carnival began a four-day run Wednesday night at the department’s carnival grounds on Route 211.
The carnival is the first of the season in Rappahannock County, and the members of the fire and rescue squad are anticipating a fun-filled week of entertainment for the entire family.
Thursday is a special ride night, with “all you can ride” for $5. In addition there will be live music by Tammie Jo’s Gospel-ets.
Friday’s festivities will feature the firemen’s parade, which begins at 1 p.m. The parade will feature floats by many organizations around the county,
