Dr. Charles Suter and Dr. David Schenck will answer your questions at a free health forum at Culpeper Memorial Hospital Wednesday, June 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the hospital conference room.
Dr. Suter, board certified internist of Culpeper, and Dr. Schenck, board certified family practitioner of the Wilderness Medical Center, will also explain what high blood pressure is and how it affects your health. They will discuss treatment for high blood pressure and ways: you can help keep your blood pressure under control.
Representatives of the American Heart Association and CMH will be on hand to check participants’ bloodpressure.
This free community health edu-: cation presentation is being held as afollow-up to the recent health screenat the hospital where nurses who checked blood pressure noticed many people with high readings.
Recent studies show that increased awareness and control of hypertension have a significant beneficial effect on death rates from strokes and heart attacks. Because of this fact, the forum is being held to offer area residents information and help on managing their high blood pressure.
