Uniquely Yours, a new musical drama exploring the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the variety, richness and individuality they give each of our lives, will be presented at Front Royal United Methodist Church on Thursday evening, June 19, at 7:30.
Performing will be the Summer Players from Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church in Huntington, W. Va. A talented group of 29 high school and college youth, they have performed throughout the eastern United States and as far, west as El Paso, Texas.
Uniquely Yours tells the story of a youth group preparing for their annual “Youth Sunday” service and the growth they experience as they explore the various gifts they have been given and search to find their own special niche in life. The show is liberally spiced with humor, has a tuneful musical score, and is a perfect entertainment for the whole family.
This musical drama was written for the Summer Players by Albert Zabel and Trilby Jordan who have previously collaborated on a number of highly successful and much performed musicals. Zabel, who is director of Music Ministries at Johnson Memorial Church, will direct the performance. Accompaniment will be provided by piano and a group of instrumentalists.
The public is cordially invited to attend the program. Admission is free, but an offering will be received.
