Brown was arrested on Route 670 near Criglersville in Madison County and served with the two Madison County warrants about 10:30 a.m., the lieutenant said.
Police Saturday night also were looking for a vehicle described as a maroon 1986 Isuzu pickup. Authorities this week released no information about the vehicle or whether it had been found.
Numerous State Police units responded to the shooting scene on Saturday night. In addition to Trooper H. A. Newlin, who arrived first, a five-man tactical squad under the command of Sgt. R. W. O’Roark and a tracking dog handled by Trooper C. M. Berry conducted a thorough, but fruitless, search of the heavily-wooded area surrounding the Timmons house, a well-kept, slate-blue bungalow close to the road.
