Mr. Estabrook acknowledged that was the case.
“We shouldn’t be in the profitmaking business,” said Mr. Nichols. “I think that’s what concerns people. If we have tremendous balances in textbook purchases, for instance, then maybe we’re charging too much.”
“Why don’t we set a time for anyone concerned to appear before the board and ask questions?” said Mrs. Ma.^ie. “We can have the principals here, too, to explain the administration of these funds.”
The board will hear from citizens about the matter at the next regular meeting at 8 p.m. July 8. The principals of both schools will also be on hand.
