Virginia Lewis

Virginia Menefee Lewis, 85, of Sperryville, died June 5 at the Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal.

Mrs. Lewis was born in Sperryville on June 30, 1900, the daughter of the late Charles Fremont Menefee and Susie Guard Menefee.

She was a graduate of Garfield Hospital School of Nursing and was a lifelong member of the Sperryville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son Fielding Menefee of Front Royal, a niece Ruth M. Hudson of Luray, and a nephew Edward M. Mathews of Front Royal. Another son, Charles Robert Lewis, predeceased her.

Graveside services were con ducted at the Sperryville Cemetery June 7 by the Rev. Merlin Shorb.
