LFCC offers
solar course
Lord Fairfax Community College will offer a course entitled “Principles of Passive Solar Architecture” during summer session. The course will introduce the novice to the basic principles of designing passive solar structures such as sunrooms, solariums, and greenhouses.
Proper site selection and building orientation will also be covered. Contractors, owner-builders, and, anyone considering having a new. house built or an old one remodeled will find the course informative and helpful in taking advantage of the natural energy available from the sun.
