Sheriff John Henry Woodward announces that some special traffic regulations will be in effect during the Fourth of July celebration in Washington.
• There will be no parking on the right side of Middle Street (across from Avon Hall) coming into town from Route 211.
• Old Salem Avenue (Route 626) will be one way going out of town from the jail to Route 211. Parking will be allowed on both sides of the street facing out of town. This does not apply to people who live on the street, but Sheriff Woodward requests their cooperation as much as possible.
• Gay Street will be closed to all traffic.
