Queen contestants invited Any young ladies between the ages of 13-18 who would like to run for the Chester Gap Honorary Fire Chief Queen are invited to call Karen Williams at 635-3673 for additional information. Carnival dates are July 16-19. Auction items needed The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department is asking for items to be sold at an upcoming auction. Family Worship to celebrate 4th Special services will be held at Family Worship Center on Mt. Salem Avenue in Washington on Friday, July 4, beginning at 10 a.m. Rev. Curt Gibson from Roanoke will be the guest speaker. A musical program featuring The Singing Word and other groups will begin at 2 p.m. Pastor and Mrs. Robert Dunphy encourage all to come and “celebrate the 4th with us at Family Worship Center.”
