The Estate, Stable and Wineries Tour in the Middleburg-UppervilleThe Plains area, benefitting Services to Battered Families’ Shelters of Virginia, will be held July 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The tour will feature three choice wineries, Sen. John Warner’s Atoka Farm, newly restored Rose Hill, an estate built in the late 1800s, Paper Chase Farm, a recently refurbished major horse training and riding center, and Blandy Experimental Farm, near Boyce, where thousands of flowers, herbs, trees, boxwood, etc., may be inspected by the public.
Also, there will be an artist center at Blandy as well as at the Upperville Plain Bay Farm. A special $5 luncheon will be served by Uta and Don Kirchner, owners of the area’s oldest bed and breakfast inn and dining center, the 1763 Inn in Upperville.
