Innkeeper workshop planned The Conyers House near Sperryville is sponsoring a workshop for innkeepers and would-be innkeepers on Saturdays, July 5 and 12, August 2 and September 13. The general discussion on the pluses and minuses of innkeeping will begin at 10 a.m. Attendance is limited. A complimentary lunch will be served. Enrichment classes offered at CCLC The Child Care and Learning Center is offering a full summer program for school age children and adults. A workshop entitled “Our bodies as healers” began in June and will continpe July 8,15,22 and 29 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. An art workshop will be held July 21-25 at the Center from 9:30 a.m. to noon under the direction of Laurie Marshall. Fun, fitness and fashion will be the topic of the workshop to be conducted July 28-August 1 from 9 a.m. to noon. Swimming classes will be held from July 28-August 6 at Clarissa Leggett’s pool. Beginner and intermediate classes will be offered for children age 3-6 and 6-10. Rappahannock Lions9 annual picnic The Rappahannock County Lions Club will hold its annual picnic July 9 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Recreational Park. Please remember to bring your spouse, family and guest. “We all are looking forward to a most enjoyable evening,” said a Lions Club organizer.
Jenkins, Sisk, Woodard reunion The Jenkins, Sisk and Woodard family reunion will be held July 6 beginning at 11 a.m. at the Rappahannock Park, Rt. 211, near Washington. Relatives and friends are invited to come and bring a covered dish.
Choral celebration on Fourth of July A choral celebration of religous and secular music is being planned prior to the fireworks display at Avon Hall on July 4.
